My cousin and friend William Runyeon always keeps me up to date on his latest poetry. I was so happy when one of his texts hit that sweet spot that tells a composer there is a song here. The Lake Beyond has both specific resonance with our shared getaway, and a universal resonance with whatever primeval impulse presses sportsmen deeper into the woods.
